Before the end of 2017, the local budgets are expected to grow to $6.27 billion, as President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said in his today’s speech at the forum of united communities.
“In 2014, the revenue of local budgets constituted $2.5 billion, and before this year’s end, it’s expected that the local budgets' revenue will increase to $6.27 billion. In the middle of the previous decade, when I headed the budget committee, traditionally the budget was submitted with accounting less than 30% to local budgets. In 2015, the number was already 45%, and this year we rapidly got close to 50%, 49.3 to be precise, so we are getting closer to 50 to 50, and, obviously, we will keep this balance of nationwide and local interests,” he said.'
The President also emphasized that the state budget of 2018 foresees a further increase in the revenue of local budgets.
