As of morning, September 4, the rescuers are still extinguishing fire seats in Luhansk and Kharkiv regions, where the fires started on September 2. However, an open flame is not observed as the Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.
“As of 07:00 a.m., September 4, the extinguishing of fire seats of dried grass and forest vegetation continues. The open flame is not observed,” the message said.
Thus, in Luhansk region, the extinction of three fire seats of dried grass and forest vegetation continues in two areas of the region (Novoaidarsky area, Lobachevo village and Lopaskyne and Stanychno-Luhansky area, Bolotyane village). They occurred on September 2.
The rescuers noted that the open flame is not observed and they hold after quenching of particular fire seats of forest litter and wood residue.

As of morning, September 3, about 100 hectares of the territory were on fire in Kharkiv region and about 945 hectares – in Luhansk region. 22 houses were destroyed in Kharkiv region and 13 in Luhansk region. Besides, 33 people were settled out; while two people died.
The Cabinet of Ministers prepares the decision to provide aid to people suffered from fires.
