In Kharkiv region, the forest fire was eliminated near Kluhyno-Bashkyrivka village, Kharkiv region as the Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.
“On September, at 2:45 p.m., the fire in the forest near Kluhyno-Bashkyrivka village, Kharkiv region that started on September 2 was extinguished,” the message said.
Seven people and two units of the equipment of the forestry, 15 rescuers and a unit of equipment were involved in the elimination.
On September 2, the large-scale fire started in Luhansk and Kharkiv regions.
As of morning, September 3, about 100 hectares of the territory were on fire in Kharkiv region and about 945 hectares – in Luhansk region. 22 houses were destroyed in Kharkiv region and 13 in Luhansk region. Besides, 33 people were settled out; while two people died.
The Cabinet of Ministers prepares the decision to provide aid to people suffered from fires.
Later it was reported that rescuers managed to locate a fire near the burned village Horobivka.
