The Committee of the Verkhovna Rada on the organization of state power, local self-government and urban development decided to recommend the parliament to aprove the resignation of Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk as 112 Ukraine reported.

On March 3, Parliament’s Speaker Dmytro Razumkov confirmed that the Verkhovna Rada received a letter of resignation by current Ukraine's Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky offered to appoint Denys Shmyhal for the position of PM. Servant of the People faction supported the proposal and voted to approve Shmygal’s candidacy for the post of the Prime Minister.
The agenda of the extraordinary plenary meeting consists of issues about activity of the Cabinet of Ministers, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, the Security Service of Ukraine, the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine, the Office of the Attorney General in the field of fighting corruption in Ukraine and strengthening the rule of law.
