Acting Chairman of the Regulation Committee of the Verkhovna Rada Pavlo Pinzenyk will propose consideration of draft decrees with the dates of the inauguration of President-elect Volodymyr Zelensky on May 15. He said it on May 14 in Ukraine’s Parliament, 112 Ukraine broadcasted the comment.
He stressed that the draft decrees with the dates of the inauguration were registered as an alternative and “in theory the regulation gives two weeks for registration of alternative propositions.”
“This leads to the following – alternative decrees are still being registered,” MP explained.
He announced the consideration of a high-profile issue on May 15 at 3 p.m.
“I will offer the committee to hold another session tomorrow, on Wednesday, as it is on our agenda. Till then, I hope, we will get the last two registered decrees. I also hope that they will be the last ones tomorrow, and we will be able to consider them and make conclusions,” he said.
Pinzenyk announced consideration of draft decrees on cancellation of voting for the language law and green tariffs today, on May 14 at 12 pm.
As we reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine will appoint the date of the inauguration of President-elect Volodymyr Zelensky.
Current President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko does not stand against any of the dates as Artur Herasimov, the Head of Petro Poroshenko Bloc, notes.
According to him, Petro Poroshenko Bloc has not decided yet for what date to vote.
President-Elect Volodymyr Zelensky recorded a message to the parliament, where he called on the MPs to appoint the date of the inauguration on May 19 in order to cease the staff activity of current president.
