"The City Commission on Emergencies imposes strict quarantine restrictions on Thursday from 12 pm. The corresponding decision will be published soon. And though Dnipro isn't in a "red" zone yet (and, I hope, won't be), it was dicided to do it. Unlike other territorial communities, we will not drag it out and then suffer from the collapse of the health care system," Filatov wrote.
The mayor of Dnipro also added that the city authorities will try to make the restrictions as comfortable as possible for business: "We are already thinking of a compensation mechanism from the local budget."
Earlier, quarantine restrictions were enhanced in the Kyiv region. In Kyiv, from March 20 until April 9, a strict lockdown was introduced on March 20.
The Ministry of Health of Ukraine has updated the quarantine zones. Lviv region got to the "red" zone too.
To date, there are nine regions in the "red" quarantine zone: Kyiv city and Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Sumy, and Chernivtsi regions.
