The reasons for the crash of Antonov An-12, which led to the death of five people are checked near Lviv. The plane could go down due to the mistake of the pilot or run out of fuel as 112 Ukraine reported citing Deputy Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Yuriy Laverenyuk.

Heavy fog was observed near Lviv at the moment of the catastrophe.

“Now we consider two versions: the first is that the fuel ran out, and the second is the mistake of the pilot because the plane did not enter the visual approach but instrumental because the bad weather occurred at that time, there was heavy fog near Lviv; all circumstances are being investigated,” Lavrenyuk said.
