A fight occurred during the protest action at the building of the Interior Ministry of Ukraine. Five law enforcement officers suffered as a result. This was reported by the press service of the Interior Ministry, reports UNN.
The protesters demanded resignation of Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko and Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
The Interior Ministry noted that “there were no clashes,” when asked about whether there were clashes involving the protesters under the ministry's building.
“There was a fight due to the prevention of the offense. Five police officers got hurt over the use of a tear gas,” the ministry said.
According to the interlocutor, the information on this fact will be entered to the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations by Kyiv police.
As it was reported earlier, Yuriy Allerov has been relieved of his duty as the Commander of the National Guard of Ukraine. Under the acting legal frameworks, the National Guard Commander is assigned and fired by the President of Ukraine, based on the appeal of the Minister of Internal Affairs.
