Ukrainian Railways shut off railway traffic due to explosions at ammunition depots in Ichnia, Chernihiv region, Northern Ukraine, according to the Ukrzaliznytsia Rail transport company (Ukrainian Railways).
“Ukrzaliznytsia shut off train movement at three railroad hauls exactly after receiving information and detonation of ammunition supplies in a military base in Chernihiv region,” reads the message.
Apart from that firefighting train departed at night to the Pryluky railway station.
Besides, the automobile traffic at three routs was also blocked, according to the Road service in Chernihiv region.
As we reported earlier, an explosion on the sixth armoury occurred in Ichnia, Chernihiv region.
The air-space within 30 km is shut down, traffic and railway movement are stopped due to the emergency situation.
Ukraine’s Defence Ministry reports that as of 7 am the intensity of the explosions is 2-3 explosions per second.
