It is noted that the authority of the acting members of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention will be terminated prematurely when the bill will come into effect.

As we reported earlier, the Verkhovna Rada had supported as the basis a bill, which provided for criminal liability for illegal enrichment in the amount of more than 570,000 dollars. 316 MPs voted for the draft law.

The parliament of Ukraine plans to introduce a new article in the Criminal Code on “Illicit enrichment.” It will provide for 5-10 years of imprisonment if there is evidence of the unlawful enrichment of an official or a high-ranking official for an amount that exceeds 576,144 dollars.
