Quarantine ‘orange’ zone reduced in Ukraine: 11 regions, Kyiv included

Yesterday, Kyiv city and 17 regions belonged to the ‘orange’ zone

Today, on March 18, the Health Ministry of Ukraine has reduced the ‘orange’ zone of the quarantine. 11 regions and Kyiv stay in it as the ministry reported.

Kyiv city, Vinnytsia, Donetsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Ternopil, Kherson, Khmelnytsky and Cherkasy regions stay in the ‘orange’ zone.

Yesterday, Kyiv city and 17 regions belonged to the ‘orange’ zone.

Zhytomyr, Zakarpattia, Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions are in the ‘red’ zone. Other regions stay in the ‘yellow’ zone.

During the past 24 hours, on March 17, 15,053 people got infected with coronavirus in Ukraine. Particularly, 744 children and 425 medics infected. 4,376 people were hospitalized; 267 lethal cases reported; 6,514 people recovered; 118,780 tests were held.

Besides, without waiting for transition to the ‘red’ zone, Lviv and Kyiv introduced strict quarantine restrictions concerning work of restaurants, cafes, shopping malls, establishments of culture and education.

Moreover, the stop of the public transport might take place soon in Kharkiv, as well as the transition of the pupils and students to the distant education.

The critical situation is also observed in Chernivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zhytomyr regions.
