President of Russian Federation Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Francois Hollande and Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
This was reported by the press service of Kremlin on April 18.
The leaders of the Normandy Quartet countries reaffirmed their commitment to the implementation of Minsk agreements in security sphere and on political aspects of the settlement. They welcomed the agreement on the resumption of the Easter truce reached at the Contact Group meeting on March 29 and stressed the importance of its strict observance, according to the press service.
In addition, the countries’ leaders called for stepping up efforts to solve the problem of exchange of the detained persons under the formula “all for all”.
The message says that during the talks, regret was expressed in connection with the cases of threats against the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission.
“The French President Francois Hollande was thanked for his efforts in the framework of the Normandy format and the hope was expressed that work in this format will continue after the presidential elections in France,” the message says.

Ministry hopes that other participants of the negotiation realize the full danger of such behavior of Moscow and take measures.
