"The president was promptly informed, but I'm not yet sure that he had time to get acquainted. Most of the night he worked on the text of his annual speech. If he has time to get acquainted, one way or another, it will be reported," Peskov said.
At the same time, he stressed that there must be certain prerequisites for Putin's meeting with Zelensky.
Also, according to Peskov, there have been no official requests from the Ukrainian leader for a meeting with Putin recently.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky offered his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin to meet in any location of Donbas where there's war going on. He said so in his video address.
Meanwhile, Vladimir Putin said that the organizers of the "assassination attempt" on the leader of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko crossed all borders.
“You can have any point of view about Lukashenko, but the practice of organizing murders is too much,” Putin said.
The Russian president was outraged that Western countries did not react in any way to the "attempt to assassinate" Lukashenko.
