In Ukraine, the law has come into force that provides increased punishment for the sexual exploitation of children.
According to the document, even the offer to meet will be punished, including the use of information and communication systems and technologies. The offer provided to people under the age of 16 with the aim to commit some actions of sexual nature or sexual abuse against she/he will be punished. However, only in case if some actions were assumed to hold the meeting.
It provides the deprivation of freedom for up to three years or imprisonment for the same term with the deprivation of the right to occupy particular positions or hold particular activity up to three years.
If such a meeting took place – it will be punished with deprivation of liberty from two up to five years with the deprivation of the right to occupy particular positions or hold particular activity up to three years.
If mentioned actions were committed again or in collusion by a group of people or against underage; it is planned to provide the punishment in the form of the deprivation of liberty from three up to six years with the deprivation of the right to occupy particular positions or hold particular activity up to three years.
The law also provides the punishment for access to child pornography, its purchase, storage, import, transportation or other replacement, production, sale and spread.
As we reported, on March 11, in the Kherson region, seven-year-old Mariya Borysova was found dead after she was missing five days. The police established that the death of a child was violent. It is noted that during the visible inspection, visible bodily injuries were detected.

On June 13, 2019, 11-year-old Daria Lukyanenko went to a dance club and did not return. Then details of the child's death appeared: the girl was first strangled, then stripped and thrown into a cesspool. Criminal proceedings on Dasha's murder were opened under four articles at once.
