Kyiv could face even tougher restrictions in terms of public transport use. That will be possible if the number of those infected with Chinese coronavirus continues to grow. Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko reported that on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"If the situation keeps developing (and we see that over the last 24 hours, the number of morbidity cases in Ukraine grew by almost twice), if the number [of infected] keeps growing, we do not rule out we could limit the movement of transport in our city", Klitschko said.
In that case, only special transport will be moving across the city. These will be the vehicles that take people responsible for the city's everyday life to work.That includes doctors, workers of municipal enterprises, rescue teams workers, etc.
Klitschko added that in the near future, the state of emergency could be introduced in the capital of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine is considering continuing the quarantine. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Health Viktor Lyashko. "We are preparing and considering possible options for continuing quarantine ... If this is the case, then quarantine will be continued ... it may be more restrictive," the official said. He added that everything would depend on the dynamics of the spread of the virus.
