Ukrainian commission on the crash of Boeing 737 in Teheran, which arrived in Iran, agrees on the issue of the visit of the catastrophe site with the Iranian authorities. It intends to hold a search of the wreckage of the Russian Tor missile system, which launch is considered to be one of the main versions of the crash as Censor.NET reported citing Secretary of the National Defense and Security Council Oleksiy Danilov.
“Our commission agrees with the Iranian authorities the issue of the visit of the catastrophe site; it also intends to hold a search of the wreckage of Russian Tor missile system according to the data published on the internet. We will use all developments on the investigation of the attack on Boeing MH17 to establish the truth in the case of the crash of the Ukrainian plane in Tehran,” Danilov said.
According to him, other versions of the tragedy are also considered. Particularly, the collision with the unmanned aerial vehicle or another flying object; destruction or explosion of the engine due to technical reasons; explosion inside the plane as a result of the terrorist act.
“Currently, we hold effective diplomatic negotiations with the Iranian side; there are all grounds to hope for the cooperation in all issues, including the participation of our commission in the decoding of the black boxes of our plane. The investigation of the death of Ukrainian citizens personally controlled by the president of Ukraine; we will immediately inform Ukrainian society and media about data, which is allowed to announce,” Danilov concluded.
On January 8, Boeing 737 of Ukraine's International Airlines, flight PS752 with 180 passengers aboard crashed in Tehran, not far from Imam Khomeini airport.
