President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko thinks that the provision of Tomos to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church will be an evidence of "the fall of Third Rome" he claimed this during his annual speech at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

"The meaning of Tomos goes far beyond Ukraine. What is this? It is the fall of "Third Rome" as the most ancient conceptual bid of Moscow for the world hegemony. Here, at our land, the future of the world Orthodoxy is decided. We understand it differently than Russians. It is one more reason why Ukrainians and Russians cannot follow one way," he said.
