The clashes between the protesters who are Soviet-Afghan War veterans and police took place in the downtown of Kyiv near the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine as 112 Ukraine reported.

According to the correspondent of the channel, the Afghani veterans succeeded to break through the police perimeter at the square near the parliament and get to the building of the Verkhovna Rada. Now, they are near the windows of it. Due to this, all entrances and exits are blocked and nobody is allowed to come in and come out.

As Interfax-Ukraine reported, the clashes take place at the stairs of the parliament, the police applied special means, and the protesters throw the bottles at the police.

MP Dmytro Dobrodomov commented to 112 Ukraine that the main demand of the Afghani veterans to equal their benefits to the benefits of the participants of the military activities. According to him, there are also the miners among the protesters.

Vice Speaker of the parliament Iryna Gerashchenko came to the protesters and urged them to form an action group for the negotiations.

According to the correspondent, a few thousands of people protest near the parliament. Some of them attempt to enter the building.
