Protest against land sale in Kyiv: Law enforcers increase security measures

The law enforcers increased the security measures in Kyiv due to the protests against the land sale as Kyiv police reported.

The police officers and National Guard employees back on enhanced shift.

“Today, in downtown Kyiv, the holding of a few mass protests is announced, including near the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. For the provision of the public security and order, the employees of the structural subdivisions of Kyiv police, military of the National Guard of Ukraine, Emergency Service workers, K9 units, bomb squads and dialogue police backed on enhanced shift,” the message said.

The law enforcers ask the organizers of the protests and partakers not to violate the public order.

As we reported Ukrainian farmers came to a protest near the building of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. They protest against the land sale. Such protests take place in eight regions of Ukraine.

Besides, the pepper gas was sprayed during the protest against the land sale near the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Police officer is among the affected.

Later the partakers of the protest against the land sale scuffle with the law enforcers near the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine.

On November 13, Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine supported the committee bill on the opening of the agricultural land market № 2178-10 as a basis.
