The Ministry of Veterans' Affairs has appealed to the Prosecutor General’s Office with the request to consider the mental and emotional state of a man who seized the Cabinet of Ministers with the grenade as the ministry reported.
“Minister of Veteran’s Affairs Yulia Laputina and Head of the Advisory Council of the president on the provision of rights and guarantees of the defenders of Ukraine has filed the appeal to the Prosecutor General’s Office with the request to consider the mental and emotional state of veteran of Russian-Ukrainian war Volodymyr during the commitment of the actions in the building of the Cabinet of Ministers,” the message says.
Representatives of the Ministry of Veteran’s Affairs and the Advisory Council have already communicated with the detainee.
On August 4, in the morning, a man threatened to detonate a grenade in the building of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, in Kyiv.
Soon, the man was detained. It turned out to be Volodymyr Prokhnych, the former participant of combat actions.
Prokhnich faced 15 years behind the bars. The police opened a criminal proceedings on four articles of the Criminal Procedure Code.
