The Prosecutor’s Office has served the charge papers to Kateryna Lapinska, the partaker of the assault at Dmytro Verbych, the veteran of the Donbas Conflict and defender of Donetsk Airport. Andry Lysenko, the spokesperson of the Prosecutor General’s Office reported this on Facebook.
A 25-year-old Lapinska in the group with other perpetrators attacked Verbych in Podol, Kyiv on May 2; she was detained in Kharkiv on May 6.
Her actions were qualified as the hooliganism made by a group of people with the use of the specially adapted and preconceived object for the bodily harm.
At the moment, the appeal to choose a restrictive measure for her is prepared. The imprisonment for 3-7 years is considered.
The investigative actions take place, other partakers of the criminal group are considered.
Kateryna Lapinska is a member of the left-wing extremist (anarchistic) organization and a daughter of Colonel Sergy Lapinskym the Head of Audit in Resource Provision Department of Inner Audit Department as Espreso.TV reported.
As we reported Dmytro Verbych survived the attack in Kyiv on May 2. The man suffered a knife wound to his back; the attackers also used a pepper-spray pellet.
On May 6, the SBU detained the attackers in Kharkiv. One of them had a Russian passport in the name of Viacheslav Lukichev.
