Ukraine's Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea makes searches of the ship Maria which supplied fuel for the Russian Federation's Black Sea Navy Fleet to the occupied peninsula. This was reported by the press office of the institution on its Telegram channel.
"During the criminal proceedings on August 10 related to the violation of entry/exit to the temporarily occupied peninsula, the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is making searches on the ship Maria, which is suspected oil products smuggling," the message reads.
It is mentioned that the searches are based on the determination of Kherson Сity Court.
According to prosecutors, the same ship, called Vilga, supplied fuel oil for subdivisions of the Black Sea Navy Fleet in June 2015.
As we reported earlier, Wexler Group, one of the biggest diesel fuel and oil suppliers, stated that it suspended the oil supply to Ukraine from Russia by pipeline transport since August 1. 41% of the entire amount of fuel and oil was transported by this pipeline.
