The actions of Kyrylo Vyshynsky, the Head of RIA News-Ukraine were preliminarily qualified as the state treason. Ihor Ponochevny, the Head of Supervision Department for Criminal Proceeding of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea claimed this as 112 Ukraine broadcasted.

'After the finish of the searches, a decision was made and the issue was solved on the detention of Kyrylo Vyshynsky, the main defendant of this criminal proceeding. The necessary investigative and procedural actions will be held with him such as: assuming measures and so on. At the moment, the preliminary qualification of the crime is the state treason. The things that were brought against him: the medals Vyshynsky got for his subversive actions against Ukraine we found and confiscated', he said.

Two passports: Russian and Ukrainian were found as Viktor Kononenko, the First Deputy SBU Head reported.

'The passport of the citizen of Russia was found during the searches, the person has the dual citizenship. The issue of the revocation of his citizenship will be also considered', Kononenko said.

Totally, SBU and Crimean Prosecutor's Office held five authorized searches: two at the offices and three at the apartments.

'Today, we together with the Prosecutor's Office of Crimea hold five authorized searches. The basis was the operative information on the targeted actions of Russia on the attraction of the journalists, Ukrainian citizens to the subversive information activity against our state. We established citizen of Ukraine Kyrylo V. Vyshynsky who was appointed as the head of the Ukrainian department of the mass media by the leadership of the international information agency 'Russia Today'. It was established and recorded that in spring 2014 Vyshynsky was ordered to enter Crimea for the holding of the subversive information campaigns. Exactly he and the journalists controlled by him created the materials that justified the annexation of Crimea and joining of Crimea to Russia. Vyshynsky was awarded state medal 'For return of Crimea' by the order of the Russian president exactly for this activity', Kononenko claimed.

Also, he claimed that Vyshynsky initiated active actions on the support of the terrorist organizations 'Donetsk People's Republic' and 'Luhansk People's Republic' after his return from Russia to Kyiv.

He was paid by Russia for his subversive actions.

'Mr. Vyshynsky was constantly paid for this. We can talk about 53, 000 euro per month for such activity. The funds were transferred from Serbia: from Russia to Serbia, from Serbia to Ukraine and here they were distributed by Vyshynsky among the structures ad persons attracted in the illegal activity', Kononenko claimed.

As we reported the workers of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea has exposed the network of the media entities controlled by the Russian Federation. The law enforcement bodies held the investigative actions at the office of RIA News-Ukraine.

At the moment the SBU considers the detention of the head of RIA News Ukraine agency’s office.

Kremlin has already responded to the incident and called the actions of the SBU outrageous. Also, Russia promised to assume reciprocal measures.
