Prosecutor-General’s Office of Ukraine finished the investigation and filed the indictment against the commander of a company of Kyiv Berkut of Ukraine’s Interior Ministry to the court as the prosecutor’s office reported on Facebook.
“The actions of the accused qualified due to illegal obstruction of the organization or holding of meetings, rallies, processions and demonstrations; abuse of power or official position. The pretrial investigation continues on the second part of the accusation,” the message.

The prosecutors stated that this commander, along with the subordinate, illegally prevented the holding of the protest, using the force against its partakers and other passers-by. As a result of the actions of law enforcers, 11 citizens, two MPs, and the journalist sustained bodily injures.
On October 10, 2014, near the building of Kyiv-Sviatoshyn court, the clashes took place between the fighters of Berkut and opposition activists took place. According to different data, about 5 people suffered, including Yuriy Lutsenko who was attacked at the head.
Earlier, Kyiv Court acquitted ex-Berkut fighter Andriy Khandrykin, who was accused of beating and torturing activists of the Euromaidan.
