Kyiv local prosecutor's office #6 closed the case against former Deputy Prosecutor General Vitaly Kasko. It was reported by the press service of Kyiv Prosecutor's Office.

"Kyiv local prosecutor's office #6 closed the criminal proceedings on suspicion of former Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine Kasko of committing fraud and use of false documents in the implementation of the privatization of housing in Kyiv,” the statement of the prosecutor's office said.

The Prosecutor's Office determined that the bodies of preliminary investigation have not received sufficient evidence to prove the guilt of Kasko in court, and the established violations are insignificant to bring him to justice.

In this regard, the head of the procedure - prosecutor of the Kyiv local prosecutor's office #6, made a decision to close the proceedings in regard to Kasko on the basis of paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Article 284 of the Code of Criminal Procedure.

Currently, the legality of the decision to close the criminal proceedings is being verified by the Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office.
