State Bureau of Investigation is studying actions of the Ukrainian ex-authorities as to whether the sailors were sent to the Kerch Strait deliberately. Roman Truba, the Director of the PGO stated that on his Telegram-channel.
"We are investigating whether the leadership of our state sent the sailors to the Kerch Strait deliberately, realizing at the same time the high possibility that they will be captured. And consequently - intensification of the conflict and imposition of the martial law," Truba wrote.
According to him, detectives of the SBI appoint all the investigation proceedings "to establish objectively the circumstances of each decision of the events." Besides, the investigators question the sailors, appoint forensics and confiscate documents.
Roman Truba assures that SBI has no criminal proceedings relating to the sailors' actions in the Kerch Strait.
It stands to mention that the SBI invited ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko for questioning again.
As it was reported earlier, on November 25, 2018, Russian border guards seized the Ukrainian Yana Kapu raid tug and small armored artillery boats Berdyansk and Nikopol of the Naval Forces of Ukraine in the Kerch Strait area, using weapons.
