Prosecutor Dilyara Ametova is suspected in the state treason in Ukraine. She presents the prosecution in the case against Crimean Tatar activist Edem Bekirov as Crimea’s Prosecutor’s Office reported on Telegram.
“Today (on August 8,- 112.international), the occupant “Supreme Court of Republic of Crimea” extended the detention of Crimean Tatar activist Edem Bekirov until October 11, 2019. The prosecution was represented by Dilyara Ametova. For your information, Prosecutor’s Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea suspects Dilyara Ametova in the state treason,” the message said.
The Prosecutor’s Office noted that the participation of Ametova in the illegal prosecution of Bekirov proves her guilt
Ametova has not commented on the information yet.
On August 8, the judge of Supreme Court of Republic of Crimea controlled by Kremlin extended the term of detention of Edem Bekirov until October 11, 2019.
As it was reported, Crimean Tatar activist Bekirov, who was illegally detained in the Simferopol pretrial detention center, was forced to testify against Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov, national leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev, and director of the ATR TV channel Lenur Islyamov.
Bekirov is one of the Crimean Tatar civil activists in the village of Novo-Oleksiyivka. His wife Gulnara is a member of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People.
He is accused under Part 2 of Article 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation or carrying of weapons, their main parts, ammunition).
