Prosecutor hands Radical Party Leader Lyashko with suspicion after fight with Gerus

Leader of Radical Party Oleg Lyashko received the notification on the suspicion from the prosecutor due to the fight with Servant of the People MP, Chairman of the parliamentary committee on energy Andriy Gerus as Dmytro Linko reported on Facebook.

According to the prosecutor, the case was opened due to the mass media information; any physical person filed the application.

Lyashko noted that he demands from the Prosecutor General’s Office (GPU), Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) to open the criminal case against Gerus for treason and abuse of power. Besides, the politician called the case against him to be fabricated and the fight with Gerus was the pursuit of the national interests.

In the prosecutor’s office, Lyashko refused to sign the documents on the receiving of the notification, stating that they are fabricated. Finally, he signed them.

On November 6, Lyashko started the fight with Gerus at International Airport Boryspil. Gerus called the fight ‘show- provocation’ and Lyashko is the defender of the business of oligarch Rinat Akhmetov.

Consequently, the police opened the criminal case due to the fight. The law enforcers did not mention the article of the investigation. Within the case, the police intend to question Lyashko and eyewitnesses, the workers of the airport.

Servant of the People faction decided that Andriy Gerus should visit judo lessons after the fight with Lyashko.
