Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine started a criminal proceeding on possible violations during the procurement of sportswear and tactic shirts by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU), as Radical Pary MP Ihor Mosiychuk wrote on Facebook.

The MP inquired that the prosecution investigates the NABU activity, as the company they procured the equipment from is suspected of embezzlement by conspiring for a sale of backpacks for the National Guard, which was carried out by the Internal Ministry in 2014-2015. Son of the Minister of Internal Affairs Oleksandr Avakov is suspected of taking part in the scheme.

The prosecution is investigating whether the NABU officials also conspired with the company for embezzling state budget money.
