Prosecution blocked bank accounts of Yanukovych’s son

The information regarding cancelled arrest was received by prosecutors from the bank employees

Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine has blocked bank accounts of son of ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych. This was reported by the spokeswoman for the Prosecutor General on Facebook.

"The arrest of Yanukovych junior’s accounts was not cancelled. Prosecutor General’s Office along with the State Financial Monitoring Service of Ukraine have immediately blocked the funds on bank account. We are grateful to the concerned bank employees who timely informed the prosecution regarding the cancelling of the arrest by court," she noted.

As it was reported, Kyiv Pechersky District Court arrested $312.5 million in the International Investment Bank (IIB) in February this year.
