The process of the temporary change of the voting place at the snap parliamentary elections started in Ukraine. The elections are appointed for July 21, 2019, as Chairman of Central Election Commission Tatiana Slipachuk reported on Facebook.
“Today, the election process has begun (...) Besides, the process of the temporary change of the voting place kicked off. So, every person who wants to use the right to vote in a different place on July 21 should file the application to the bodies of the State Register of Voters and temporary change the voting place. It is possible to do it until July 15,” Slipachuk wrote.
The Central Election Commission Head specified that the voters whose electoral address is in the temporary occupied territories, need to have only their passports with a properly specified registration.
“For all other people, it would be necessary to bring confirming documents that you are really going to be at other place, where you want to vote on the voting day,” Slipachuk added.
She also reminded that the voters will get two ballots during the voting: for voting at the state-level multi-mandate and the uni-mandate electoral district. “That is why, if you stay out of your district, you will be able to vote only at the state-level multi-mandate district,” she said.
As we reported, the election campaign of the snap elections to the Verkhovna Rada has started on May 24.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed the decree on the dismissal of Verkhovna Rada and appointed the election on July 21.
