Pro-Russian Czech journalist is denied entering Ukraine for 5 years

Ukraine’s Security Service denied Jan Rychetský, Czech journalist form Parlamentni Listy, entering Ukraine, as Parlamentnilisty.cz. reported.

Rychetský arrived to Ukraine on May 1 to cover the anniversary of Odesa tragedy, but the border guards did not let him in. After spending a night in Kyiv airport, he came back to Czech Republic free of payment.

“The law enforcers acted accurately and offered me a break room for people with disabilities but I could not fall asleep,” the journalist stated.

According to him, Ukrainian officers were curious whether he was the author of the book about Czechoslovak legionaries in Russia. He answered affirmatively.

Besides, he said that wrote about war in Donbas and the issues of Zakarpattia Rusyns.  

Earlier, Ukraine’s Border Guard Service did not let pro-Russian journalists from Italy, Czech Republic and Russia in Ukraine on May 1. They arrived to “cover” the anniversary of Odesa tragedy on May 2.
