The prisoners’ exchange between Ukraine, Russia, and Donbas militants will take place until the end of the week, as Ukraina 24 TV channel reported citing Ukraine’s Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmyla Denisova.
According to Denisova, the observation will take place in the order established by the Healthcare Ministry of Ukraine and chief sanitary inspector.
“The state and the president are going to return all citizens of Ukraine, staying in occupied territories and in Russia,” Denisova noted.
She noted that there is information about some Ukrainians keeping in the Russian jails, particularly Lefortovo, who have signs of infection with Covid-19. However, this information is checked now, particularly, the proper appeals filed to Commissioner for Human Rights of Russia Tatiana Moskalkova.
“As soon as I have precise information, I will report it additionally,” Denisova noted.
As we reported, the exchange of prisoners between Ukraine and the militants of the occupied Donetsk region ("DPR") may take place before the end of this week.
Later, militants from the so-called self-proclaimed republics in Donbas have declared their readiness to send 19 people to Kyiv within the framework of the prisoner swap.
