Prime suspect in car accident in Kryvyi Rih dies

A 67-years-old man was transferred to a detention facility three days ago

Oleksandr Volkov, who is believed to be guilty of a resonant car accident in Kryvyi Rih, where 11 people died, as 1kr.ua reported.

“A 67-years-old man was transferred to a detention facility three days ago. His health condition has worsened. He passed away in a remand centre medical facility today,” the message says.

There were no reports on the cause of death.

Earlier, a car accident happened in Kryvyi Rih – Mazda car collided with two buses, one of which belongs to one of the metal manufactures. As a result, 11 people died and dozens were injured.

The police detained the Mazda driver, a 67-years-old Oleksandr Volkov, Later the Court sentenced him to two months custody, but for some time he stayed at the hospital.

Other people involved in the incident were not charged.
