Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman ordered the leadership of Infrastructure Ministry and Justice Ministry to handle and assume all possible legal steps to figure out the situation around the stop of the license of SkyUp Airline for transfer of passengers as the government reported.

“Honoring the judicial branch, I want to say that some individuals have a particular conflict with the commons sense and law. We have begun to create new digital customs service; the court stopped this decision. We cannot hold human resources competition. We have begun the process of the involvement of the investments to the state property; the court stopped this decision. And where that got us? To the fact that we have problems. By one stroke of a pen! The case was not considered basically; nothing took place. And in the case with the air company, we have the information that a claimant has not ever been their client!,” Groysman noted.

The prime minister appealed with a request and ordered Infrastructure Minister to handle the situation within the legal framework and protect the clients of the company.

“I ask the Justice Ministry to prepare a letter on all cases personally for me on all bodies of the judicial power, to consider each case. And a letter for the president,” Groysman.

Earlier Baryshivsky district court of Kyiv region ruled that the transport license of SkyUp Airlines Company will be temporarily suspended.

The decision was made due to the appeal of the complainant, Oksana Pasenko; she referred to systematic failure to live up to its commitments before the clients, the delayed flights and the absence of aviation safety control.

SkyUp responded that the complainant never used their services, and she never was their client. Besides, the company added that the court could not suspend the license since it was issued by the special authority.

Ukrainian SkyUP Air Company was launched in May 2018 as Ukraine’s Infrastructure Minister Volodymyr Omelyan reported. Its fleet composed of three Boeing planes 737-800 NG 2001, 2002 и 2011 with 189 seats.
