Order on imposing of martial law for 60 days in Ukraine published officially

The text of the order provides the imposing of the martial law from 14:00, on November 26 and it does not include the mentioning of particular regions where the law should act

The order of the president on the imposing of the martial law for 60 days from November 26 was published in Uryadovy Kuryer, a national daily newspaper published by the executive branch of Ukraine.

According to part two, Article 190 of the regulation of the Verkhovna Rada, “the proper order of the president of Ukraine comes into force as it is approved by the Verkhovna Rada and immediately announced through the mass media or published by another way.”

 The Russians shelled and seized the vessels of the Ukrainian Naval Forces “Berdyansk”, “Nikopol” and “Yany Kapu”, which passed from Odesa (the Black Sea) to Mariupol (the Sea of Azov), moving through Kerch Strait.

Given the tough situation in the area of Kerch Strait in the Sea of Azov, President Petro Poroshenko supported the offer of Ukraine's national security and defense council; it stipulates that the Ukrainian Parliament should consider the option to impose the martial law in Ukraine.

Poroshenko signed an order on the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine to impose a martial law in Ukraine. The Verkhovna Rada adopted the draft law approving as a whole a presidential decree on the imposition of martial law in Ukraine.
