US President Joseph Biden and his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky will work to prevent an aggravation of the situation on the Ukrainian border. This follows from the statement of the Head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, who commented on the dialogue between the two leaders on Twitter.
"Zelensky just spoke with the US President. The most important thing now is to prevent further escalation, and Ukraine and the United States will use every opportunity for this," Yermak said.
According to him, the frequency of contacts between Ukraine and the United States at the highest level testifies to unprecedented support and complete mutual understanding.
As we reported earlier, US President Joseph Biden held telephone talks with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
"President Biden made clear that the United States and its allies and partners will respond decisively if Russia further invades Ukraine. The leaders expressed support for diplomatic efforts, starting next week with the bilateral Strategic Stability Dialogue, at NATO through the NATO-Russia Council, and at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe," Psaki said.
President Biden underscored the commitment of the United States and its allies and partners to the principle of “nothing about you without you.” He reaffirmed the United States’ commitment to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
