Two authoritative companies, KANTAR TNS and Info Sapiens conducted the nation-wide exit poll on the elections, under the request of TSN news service, which is part of 1+1.
The companies interviewed 20,000 voters at 600 polling stations across the country. This actually exceeds the sample of the national exit poll. The interviews kicked off the moment the polling stations opened at 8 a.m.
1+1 announced the exit poll results immediately after the polling stations were closed at 8 p.m. The names of the organizations that conducted the exit poll were released along with the results, so as to rule out any influence on the respondents' opinions.
It should be noted that the results of the exit polls as of 18:00 were preliminary. The specified data is being processed and is to be published later.
The first round of the presidential elections took place in Ukraine. The polling stations worked from 8:00 up to 20:00.
There are 39 candidates in the ballots and over 35.6 million voters. Over 315,000 of the voters changed the place of the registration for voting.
