Presidential Elections 2019: Interior Ministry enhances guard of foreign embassies, consulates

The Interior Ministry of Ukraine has enhanced the guard of the foreign embassies and consulates on election day in Ukraine, as the ministry reported on Facebook.

“The guard of the particular important state objects, embassies, and consulates of foreign states is enhanced,” the message said.

The ministry noticed that about 8,000 employees of the National Guard of Ukraine were involved to provide public security during the elections.

“The detachments of the special task forces stay in reserve and ready for actions,” the ministry added.

As we reported 135,400 law enforcers are working today in Ukraine. All detachment have switched to the enhanced regime of the work.

The election campaign has officially started on December 31, 2018. There are 39 candidates in the ballots and over 35.6 million voters. Over 315,000 of the voters changed the place of the registration for voting.
