President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will fire Volodymyr Demchyshyn, the representative of the state to the Observatory Council in Naftogaz. He sent the respective statement to Ukraine’s Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman, as Pravda reported.
Three representatives of the state are the members of the Council. Yet, Zelensky noted that in 2017 the Cabinet of Ministers changed the rules of appointment of Council members, but he did not regulate the procedure of their reassignment.
“By the decision of the Cabinet of Minister as of March 29, 2017… the regulations of appointment of the members of the Observatory Council of Naftogaz were changed. Nevertheless, there is some unresolved of the procedure of reassignment of the members of Naftogaz Observatory Council,” the message reads.
Zelensky wants to dismiss Demchyshyn that was appointed as the member of the Council by ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to change the composition of the Council. He also noted that Naftogaz is under close attention due to the situation which occurred in the fuel and energy complex.
