The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with President of the European Commission Jean-Claude Juncker in Brussels. This was reported by the Ukrainian Presidential Administration on Twitter.

“President Zelensky met with Jean-Claude Juncker to confirm the inalterability of the European and Euro-Atlantic course of Ukraine and to thank for the special role of the EU in holding off the Russian aggression,” the report said.

According to Unian agency, broadcast of the start of the meeting between Juncker and Zelensky was held on the website of the European Commission.

It is noted that when Zelensky and Junker shook hands, journalists asked Juncker if he missed the previous president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, his friend. “I have a new friend,” the president of European Commission said.

“I am better. A new friend is better than an old one,” Zelensky added.
