President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev believes that sanctions against Russia are useless. He said this on air of the Bulgarian channel BTV.

According to him, he will support "any act" on lifting sanctions against the Russian Federation. At the same time, Radev said that he cannot initiate such decisions alone.

The Bulgarian president also said that he intends to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin and discuss "many important issues."

Earlier it was reported that a pro-European party won elections in Bulgaria. Pro-Russian Socialist Party gained 6% fewer votes.
