Prayer service to commemorate Heavenly Hundred held in Kyiv is being held in St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery in Kyiv. The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko along with his wife is also present at the event.
The Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman, the Presidential Administration head Ihor Rainin, the Vice Prime Minister – the Minister of regional development, construction, housing and communal services of Ukraine Hennadiy Zubko and Healthcare Minister Ulana Suprun also came to commemorate the heroes.
Earlier it was reported that is the Day of the Heavenly Hundred. Ukrainians honor the bravery of the participants of the Revolution of Dignity.
This Memorial Day was established by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on February 2015 “to honor the bravery, spirit and resilience of citizens who gave their lives during the revolution of dignity (November 2013- February 2014).”
Heavenly Hundred is a collective name given to the civil protesters who participated and bore the ideas of Euromaidan in Ukraine (the Revolution of Dignity) in December 2013 - February 2014.
