President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has urged NATO countries to send the naval ships to the Sea of Azov as Bild reported.

“Germany is one of our closest allies and we hope that NATO countries are ready to send the ships to the Sea of Azov to support Ukraine and provide security,” Poroshenko claimed, commenting the seizure of the Ukrainian vessels by Russia in Kerch Strait.

According to the Ukrainian president, President of Russia Vladimir Putin sees himself “Russia emperor” and Ukraine as a Russian colony. Russia's next aim (after the occupation of Crimea) is the Sea of Azov.

“The only language he understands is the cohesion of the western world,” Poroshenko claimed and advised Germany to ask itself what Putin will do next if he is not stopped.

As we reported earlier, the coast guard ships of the Russian Navy acted aggressively against the ships of the Ukrainian Navy, which have been carrying out a scheduled transition from Odesa port to Mariupol port in the Sea of Azov.

Given the tough situation in the area of Kerch Strait in the Sea of Azov, President Petro Poroshenko supported the offer of Ukraine's national security and defense council; it stipulates that the Ukrainian Parliament should consider the option to impose the martial law in Ukraine.
