In the course of the working visit to Germany to participate in the 54th Munich Security Conference, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, as Poroshenko’s press service informs.
It is said that the parties paid special attention to the prospects of deployment of the UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbas.
The interlocutors agreed that the main task of the future UN mission should be ensuring full peaceful settlement in Donbas, as well as restoration of Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity within the internationally recognized borders.
Petro Poroshenko and António Guterres expressed concern over the ongoing deterioration of the human rights situation in the temporarily occupied Crimea. In this context, the Ukrainian President stressed that the international community should apply additional measures to force Russia to fulfil UNGA resolutions 71/205 and 72/190.
