Poroshenko: UN court hearing of Ukraine vs Russia case is historical moment

The President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko called the hearing of Ukraine’s lawsuit against Russia by the International Court of Justice. He wrote this on his Facebook page.

“It’s a historical moment: On March 6 Ukraine will present the evidence of Russia’ crimes in the UN International Court in Hague. Truth is stronger than weapons!” he wrote.

The hearing of the case will last 4 days, according to the journalist of 112 Ukraine TV channel.

“Right now media representatives gather near the Peace Palace where the hearing will take place. The hearing of case “Ukraine vs Russia” will last 4 days. Ukraine will be given a floor first. Today, 15 judges will be hearing the case, all of them are representatives of the UN member states, there is also Russian representative,” he reported.

Earlier it was reported that Hague Court will hear Ukraine’s suit against Russia in March. Ukraine demands to condemn the acts of terrorism in Donbas, including the Boeing tragedy, incident in Kharkiv and oblige Russia to pay compensation, the amount of which was not specified.
