Poroshenko: Ukraine in UN will always fight for values ​​of free world

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko on the anniversary of creation of the United Nations has assured that Ukraine in the UN will always fight for the values of the free world. This was stated in the congratulation speech of the head of state, posted on the page in Facebook.

"United Nations Day is also a Ukrainian holiday, because Ukraine was among the founding nations of the Organization, together with our allies we will always fight for the values of the free world," the president wrote.

The UN Charter came into force on October 24, 1945. The organization includes 193 Member States, its headquarters is in New York. Currently, the UN is headed by the Portuguese Antoniu Guterres.

As it was reported earlier the Category 2 Center status provided to the Minor Academy of Science of Ukraine (MAS) by the UNESCO on October 13, 2017, will further the development of the education diplomacy. President of the MAS Stanislav Dovgy reported this. 

According to him, ‘the high estimation of our activity brings the responsibility to the MAS on the expansion of the teaching practicum worked out in Ukraine among the UNESCO-countries. This work demands the deepening of the international activity and will further the direct contacts of the Ukrainian children and teachers with their foreign colleagues and will further the development of the education diplomacy’.
