The president called on the police officers not to betray the people’s trust, but to increase it

In two years of the new National Police working in Ukraine, the level of people’s trust to police grew from 3-5% to 50%. President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko told this in a ceremony celebrating the second anniversary of the National Police, broadcasted by 112.UA Channel.

“Earlier, 3-5% of people trusted the police. Today more than 50% of Ukrainians trust the National Police. They say that the new police is the best proof of us heading in the right direction, that the strategy of organizing the National Police is right. I would like to ask you, esteemed police officers: do everything in your power not to lose this trust, but to increase it,” the president said.
