Ukraine’s Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko stated that President Poroshenko reacted negatively to his resignation, yet, it will be considered, as Prosecutor General said on air of 1+1.
“I had a serious talk with the President, he did not accept my decision. He found out about everything five minutes before I entered the Verkhovna Rada. Nevertheless, I said it was my decision in principle,” Lutsenko said.
He also noted that his letter of resignation is on Poroshenko’s table. The President will consider it as soon as he is back from a working visit abroad.
On November 7, in his speech at Ukraine’s Parliament Lutsenko announced his resignation from the position of the Prosecutor General. He passed a written statement to the President for signing. Poroshenko, in his turn, has not officially commented this.
