Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko and US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson coordinated their positions on the UN peacekeeping mission in the Donbas. This was reported by Ukrainian president’s press service upon the telephone conversation.

"The interlocutors discussed the escalation of the situation in Donbas due to the increased number of shelling by Russian militants and the irresponsible withdrawal of Russian officers from the Joint Center for Control and Coordinating. Poroshenko and Tillerson also coordinated positions on the UN peacekeeping mission in the occupied parts of Donbas, "the statement said.

It is noted that Poroshenko thanked for the extending the sanctions against Russia, the consistent support of Washington of strengthening the defense capability of Ukraine and the UN resolution on the Crimea. Rex Tillerson stressed that the United States will continue to support Ukraine.
